MAY I, through your newspaper, take this opportunity to thank the hard working members of the Winton Carnival committee for their excellent event on Saturday.
Considering the additional problems that carnivals throughout the land have had to contend with, such as health and safety regulations, no doubt additional insurance premiums etc, the numbers of entries this year were of a high standard.
So also were the variety of colourful stalls at the fete after the procession.
As someone who has been involved with carnivals and local events now for almost 60 years I was indeed proud to be involved with this year’s event – well done once again, Winton.
