We went onto Bournemouth beach in the late afternoon recently, arriving as a lot of the holidaymakers were leaving.
The beach wasn’t crowded and it would have been an enjoyable evening if it hadn’t been for the state students had left the beach in.
We watched students in groups of six upwards enjoying the beach.
What annoyed us was how they left all of their litter on the beach when they left.
You could see mounds of bottles, cans and bag rubbish dotted at five to ten metre intervals all over the sand.
Bear in mind that this had been dumped within 30m of several refuse bins along the promenade.
It’s obvious that Bournemouth’s student population don’t care what the place looks like for the holidaymakers and local residents who also want to enjoy the beach!
