One can only fully support all the comments from Cllr Karen Rampton, (Have Your Say, June 12) about the Talbot Heath approval by Poole planners.

This decision has failed to take into consideration the very lengthy and detail objections, 19 pages, by Natural England, a statutory body which they are lawfully bound to consult.

The last page of the submission says: “Natural England therefore maintains our previous objection to the proposed development”, then lays out the planning reasons for refusal.

On these grounds alone it has to be called in by the new Secretary of State.

At the same time one asks how a major application like this can be approved before the results of the transport model which is supposed to allow the appraisal of transport impacts of various schemes and costs of engineering, environmental and planning decisions.

The results are due later this year, yet Poole officers and members have ignored our own Bournemouth highway engineers advice on the massive impact of the development on Wallisdown Road. It is pure and utter madness.
