I am writing with reference to Leonard Cheshire Disability’s Tea for Ability event.

Leonard Cheshire Disability wants people to change the way they see disability, to think and act differently, and to make a positive difference to the lives of disabled people.

We want disabled people to be able to realise their potential and for society to recognise the important contribution that disabled people have to make.

By organising a Tea for Ability event we hope to raise awareness of the issues affecting disabled people and support Leonard Cheshire Disability in helping to improve the quality of life for disabled people all over the UK.

We are holding our Tea for Ability event at Baiter Park near the car park and hope to raise money to buy equipment to support the residents of The Grange and James Burns House.

We will be tea tasting, guessing the weight of a cake in the shape of a tea pot, playing ‘tea off’ golf, guessing how many tea bags are in a jar and having a huge raffle, which local businesses have kindly donated prizes for. The event will be on Thursday from 2pm until 4.30pm.
