I noted the letters on the rubbish on Bournemouth beach (Have Your Say, May 26) but I would like to know who is responsible for cleaning the area around the bus shelters outside Bournemouth Hospital.
To say that it is disgusting is an understatement.
There were literally hundreds of cigarette ends, cans, fast food containers, newspapers and even a discarded dressing the other day.
I understand that they don’t want rubbish bins (why?), but surely a container or two filled with sand for discarded cigarette ends would not be too difficult?
Like your previous writer, I too an ashamed to admit that I am a local resident when I visit the hospital, and I am sorry to say it but we are a country of filthy, uncaring and selfish people.
