I am confused as to why we are seeing such an extreme case of white lines (solid and dotted) along the Sandbanks peninsula.

The purpose appears to allow a specific lane for cyclists on this road, removing a large number of car parking spaces to accommodate this.

Why are we again impacting visiting tourists – don’t we want them to visit the beaches?

As for the cycle lane on the other side, it appears very dangerous, forcing cyclists outside of parked cars within range of opening car doors and with passing vehicles on the other side, when all the time there is a wide safe promenade that they could and indeed do use – why don’t we paint a lane on the promenade for cyclists to use?

Last night travelling around the peninsula I saw a cyclist going against the one way flow of traffic, on the road travelling very quickly who when challenged put up the traditional rude gesture! Whatever is done for cyclists they will do their own thing to suit themselves – this is not criticising them simply stating my experience.
