I am writing in response to the letter from David Stocker of Lancashire (Have Your Say, October 8) regarding the decision of the cosmetics company Lush to support the Hunt Saboteurs.
Had the letter not been written with the sole purpose of inciting undeserved public outrage against a peaceful organisation, the letter would be laughable.
Throughout its entire history, the Hunt Saboteurs have been entirely on the receiving end of unprovoked physical attacks at the hands of hunt supporters.
I commend Mark Constantine for seeing through such attempts at PR spin as the one by David Stocker and wish more people would look into the issue themselves and realise that non-violent direct action is essential to save a defenceless animal from death at the hands of those who blatantly disregard a legal ban on their blood sport.
