MY mother, who is 94 years of age, hadn’t seemed to recover too well from a broken hip, which she suffered just before Christmas 2008. In early July 2009, she was admitted to Brownsea Ward at Poole General Hospital where she received absolutely first class care, then after spending one week there, she was transferred to Guernsey Ward at Alderney Hospital for rehab.
