As a victim of the credit crunch, I find Mr Cole’s suggestion of putting people on the dole to work clearing litter very offensive and extremely naïve (Have Your Say, October 3).
I hope Mr Cole never falls on hard times and I would suggest he looks at all the stupid jobs people are doing on Community Service.
In point of fact I did Community Service, and had to dig sand off the beach, which blew back the next day.
