I would like to thank the Daily Echo for bringing customers into my ladies’ wear shop offering their commiserations at my reported demise.
Following the publication of a public notice in the April 27 edition of the Daily Echo regarding the death of a lady with a similar name to that of my shop, Margery Daw, I have been inundated with concerned regular customers!
Although Margery Daw is 62 years old this year (established 1947) my staff and I are only spring chickens! We just wanted to say that we are very much alive and kicking.
The article that was printed has caused quite an upset amongst the knicker wearers of this parish.
I would appreciate it if you would let everyone know they can still get their drawers at Margery Daw’s.
