We cannot believe that in today’s society, which strives to promote a healthier lifestyle and encourages families to exercise more, that the powers-that be want to take any piece of public open space they possibly can for develop-ment (Green Lane play area on housing list, Daily Echo, April 29) .
Children, adults and dog walkers alike have enjoyed this space for as long as we can remember.
