If, as is claimed in the introductory blurb to BBC TV’s The Apprentice, the candidates are the brightest and best of Britain’s young business prospects, I don’t hold out much hope for the future.
Why would any self-respecting businessman, let alone one of Sir Alan Sugar’s calibre, even contemplate employing any of those inarticulate, loud-mouthed, self-centred, back-stabbing idiots?
And before anyone asks – I watch because I am a cerebral masochist.
