Recently I visited Weymouth. What a marvellous job they have done to include the old brewery and make it into a really attractive place that people will go there for.

Portsmouth is another shopping venue/attraction which will be very popular.

These and other places have got it right.

Bournemouth has its beaches, its gardens, entertainment through the summer and shops. But there is something lacking.

I still believe a bus station would bring the visitors into the town, making it much easier for them. The Square really needs either some smaller, different shops or the larger stores need to include an area of items which will attract the tourist with things they can’t find in their own home town.

Bournemouth needs to bring people in not only during July and August but to offer facilities so the town is busy all year round.

Making it fully pedestrianised would cut down the number of ways across the town thus causing more delays.

The ideal discussion would be to include all services (buses, taxis, hoteliers, retailers etc) to put their views forward from their side.

They get the feedback from our tourists more than the council ever would.
