Harriet Harman hints that Sir Fred Goodwin will not get the pension he is legally entitled to “enforceable in a court of law, but it’s not enforceable in the court of public opinion”.
May I point out that nor was the John Lewis list that Ms Harman and her colleagues had access to, to furnish their second homes.
Nor is the way the politicians continually boost their pension fund any more palatable. All of this, too, is at the public’s expense.
Of course, though, no one in government will shout about this, not when Ms Harman and her cronies know, or at least suspect, that the gravy train will end for them soon.
