HERE’S an idea for BCP Council for stopping flooding on the roads and in people’s houses and businesses.

Those holes in the road covered by metal grills are designed to take rain water away from the road and protect buildings as well as keep roads safe for driving on.

Cleaning them out as soon as they become blocked, instead of a year after they have been reported for the roads and never for the ones on the pavement would give us a town that could stand a bit of rain instead of being the laughing stock of the country.

The last time Britain went to pot like this was when the Romans left.

I assume Brexit will be the same and this is just the tip of the iceberg.
