DURING this lockdown I have been very impressed by the thoughtfulness, concern and acts of kindness provided by many individuals and groups within our community, and then yesterday, I am sad to say, I saw the an example of the selfish behaviour provided by a minority of people that unfortunately also reside within this conurbation.

This selfish act, not a heinous crime, was piles of bags, loose clothing and other items left outside a charity shop in Kinson. What a mess!

Everyone must be aware that most shops are still not allowed to open, and this includes charity shops. There are no staff working, so consequently this unsightly mess will remain in place until such time the shop opens, or the council are called to dispose of it.

Either way, these items will be of no use in the future to assist the applicable charity.

Please do help all charities in the future, as undoubtedly they will need a massive amount of aid to get themselves operational again, but do it after they are open, and as and when they are able to take donated items again.
