WHAT a cop-out by BCP!

Take the basic duty of care and the many reports of urination and defecation on our beaches which are paid for and supported by our local residents. What did they expect to happen?

These known facts are not being properly reported by BCP. However, what do residents think the council should be doing about defecation taking place behind beach huts?

I would have thought it would be understood by the BCP that with thousands of visitors flocking to our beautiful beaches from out of county, each only bringing with them one bladder and one bowel, that there would be need to be some facilities for them to be serviced other than behind the beach huts and hedges.

With no facilities, it would not be unreasonable to turn people away from the area back from whence they came. What in fact happened is ... nothing.

Taking the income from car parks but failing to provide the facilities that people needed and should have expected on a cost basis beggars belief. Then after the damage has been done, blame the government for opening the country. It’s not as if there wasn’t any notice.

Shame on you BCP, you have let us all down and shown yourselves to be incompetent and short-sighted, just chasing the income from car parking and parking fines at the expense of providing services you are tasked with doing and putting the health and wellbeing of our community and visitors at risk, before even mentioning Covid-19 virus and social distancing.
