NO, no, no, Tobias Ellwood! What planet do you actually live on?
It has been proven time and time again that “shared spaces” do not work.
We have cyclists already taking over pathways, promenades, lanes, and anywhere that they decide they have priority.
Why have “No cyclists” signs on paths been allowed to just fade away for years and why have they never been renewed?
Just as vehicles and cyclists are not a good mix, cyclists and pedestrians do not work together.
BCP Council must not waste money on this ludicrous and unworkable scheme.
