US President Obama was welcomed to Britain to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday as much as anyone else.

But for the visit to have been hijacked by Cameron’s ‘In’ camp was a disgraceful abuse of politics when her majesty has, and always will be, politically neutral.

They seriously compromised the Queen’s neutrality.

Mr Obama claimed he had a right to tell the British people how to vote because the USA and Europe’s history were “intertwined”.

To have used the sacrifice of those who gave their lives in the fight against a foreign power who had a desire to rule Europe somehow seems hypocritical.

The USA came into the war after Japan bombed Pearl Harbour, not because of Nazi Germany. And we had to pay every single dollar back to the USA with interest for “our very special relationship”!

If Mr Obama and Ms Clinton are going to wade in telling the British public how to vote, particularly for the kind of political union they would never accept themselves, they should get their facts straight.

We British are big enough and good enough to govern ourselves, unconditional surrender to the EU with just a nine per cent vote in return is not an option for most of us.

Even David Cameron failed to control our borders and his party has gone on to miss all their economic forecasts. It’s time for change.

Nigel Farage has reiterated his offer to have a one-to-one debate with David Cameron over the EU, any place, anytime, anywhere on live TV.

That’s the proper way for politicians without shamelessly embroiling the Royal Family, Mr Cameron.
