I'M SADDENED at the decision of RBH governor Colin Pipe to resign.
Well done sir, and thank you for demonstrating that some people realise the harm that this has done to the integrity of the management of the hospital as a result of the Basil Fozard issue.
I have repeatedly asked Jane Stichbury through her staff for the date of the governors' meeting, the agenda and minutes. I get no reply at all.
Just a silence, presumably as a result of the lead governor Bob Gee’s decision to keep everything secret.
Quite rightly, no one has criticised Mr Fozard's ability and dedication in his medical capacity.
But on the evidence so far, senior managers have a lot of questions to answer.
Having read Colin Pipe's interesting comments that he had had concerns for several months and describing the role of individual governors as “untenable", we surely have no alternative but to think something must be done.
Maybe all the governors should resign.
