IT is said that the older a person gets, the wiser he/she becomes.
This is obviously not the complete case with the amount of mainly older people still falling for telephone scams requiring bank card details.
It is high time these scams were permanently put to bed, as all the publicity regarding some ought to be reaching everyone.
Banks could do more by putting warnings on statements.
I would also urge family and friends of older residents managing their own financial affairs to advise and warn them should this requirement be needed.
Come on people, let's wisen up and kick these scammers out of business.
