I AM compelled to write to counter Jeremy May’s “Objection to phallic puppetry show in Bournemouth” (23 March).
Has society regressed to the ‘Mary Whitehouse’ days of castigating things we have no intention of attending? He suggests that the human body is ‘vulgar’.
I say; “stop sniggering at the back of the class, Mr May”. This is an adult show for grown-ups.
I can wholeheartedly attest that ‘Puppetry of the Penis’ is one of the funniest and most inventive shows my wife and I have ever seen. The finale brings the house down. Do go and see it.
Stop trying to spoil others’ harmless fun, Mr May.
