Union flag flies as the default
FOLLOWING on from the letter from John Beesley, (December 5, Have Your Say), Poole Council has been flying the British union flag as the default flag since 2003.
It took me a bit of persuading, particularly as some Lib Dems were opposed, but eventually it went through the civic committee and has been there ever since apart from occasional celebration days, such as St George’s Day.
