ANGELA Pooley is all at sea in assuming that those who oppose the Navitus Bay Project are ignoring the consequences of climate change.

I accept that there is evidence of climate change and that politicians should do all they can to mitigate the consequences, but massive unreliable wind turbines in Poole Bay, are not the answer.

Instead of apparently paying developers huge sums to erect wind turbines, which cannot be relied upon to deliver power and mostly bought from overseas companies, I believe more investment should have or should be invested in tidal power.

Ms Pooley thanks "all those many residents that say to ‘Yes to wind’", but it is the unreliable nature of wind that is the problem and always will be, which is why many residents are equally opposed.
