THIS weekend I had the pleasure of attending a wedding at Upton House.
It has been a couple of years since my last visit and my goodness it has been spruced up.
Inside, all the ground floor rooms have been renovated, restored to their former glory, fresh paint, French polished furniture, and glorious chandeliers. The amazing countryside murals gleam, the magnificent fire places really impress and the wonderful spiral staircase is stately to say the least.
I recommend a visit if the chance arises, check the secret passages and doors in the library too.
It is licensed to conduct marriages so with its wonderful picturesque grounds, excellent catering, friendly efficient staff and atmospheric rooms is the perfect Wedding venue.
Certainly the jewel in Poole's crown.
