HAS Bournemouth entered a competition to win an award for the least disabled-friendly Dorset town?

There is no Shopmobility scooter hire facility in the main town, poor disabled access to most shops, no handrail down the hill into the public gardens, and too few public benches near bus stops.

There are also too few traffic calming measures for one to cross from one bus stop to one the other side of the road. The whole town looks much less smart/welcoming from our past visits.

If Salisbury, Poole and Winchester (where I shop) can improve/address mobility issues why not Bournemouth?
