IN reply to Mrs Sherring’s letter (May 2), I would like to say how sorry I am that she has a fear of fast driving.
It obviously isn’t the right thing for the lorry driver to be driving aggressively and driving very close to the rear of her car.
However, Mrs Sherring was probably not only inconveniencing the lorry driver, but probably a whole stream of vehicles behind him.
Would it have taken much effort to have pulled in to a layby or another safe area to allow the lorry and the stream of vehicles by?
When drivers are driving significantly below the speed limit for no reason than personal reasons then they must consider the traffic behind them and allow them past.
I wish that drivers towing caravans would take heed of this as well.
