WHAT a dreadful decision Christchurch councillors have made in rejecting the sensible proposal to redevelop Christchurch Hospital in a cost effective way that enabled the excellent services such as blood testing, x-rays, scans, consultations, dermatology and the Macmillan unit to continue on this site.
This decision means all of these services may have to go to The Royal Bournemouth putting extra pressure on resources and infrastructure there.
It is also appalling that such a major decision has been taken by a minority of four councillors, such a project that affects so many Christchurch people should have been put before the full council.
A case of conservation gone mad!
