REGULAR Echo readers will have learned that your correspondent Mike Fry is implacably opposed to the Navitus Wind Farm, while I wholeheartedly support any scheme that promises such reductions in our collective carbon footprint.
In his latest blast at the Navitus project (Letters, January 4), Mike Fry relates the findings of what he calls an “independent analysis” on the practical working life of wind turbines.
However, this analysis is in no way “independent”. It was written by economist Professor Gordon Hughes, a known climate sceptic.
The analysis is Hughes’ personal work and was published by the anti-wind energy Renewable Energy Foundation.
