CHERRIES look set to sign goalkeeper Andrei Radu, on a season-long loan from Inter Milan.

First reported by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Radu is due to arrive in England this week, undertaking his medical on Wednesday.

The deal is thought to be a loan with an option for Cherries to turn it into a permanent transfer.

Radu, 26, is a full Romania international, making four appearances having debuted last year.

Having come up through the ranks at Inter, Radu has spent various spells out on loan, notably with a regular run of games at Genoa in Serie A.

He spent the second half of last season as first choice for Auxerre, alongside Siriki Dembele, who was on loan from Cherries. The pair were unable to help the club avoid relegation from Ligue 1.

Radu is likely to come in to provide competition for Neto for the starting spot, with Darren Randolph remaining as third choice.

Mark Travers is expected to head out on loan to gain vital experience in the Championship, with fellow goalkeeper Cameron Plain also still on the books at Cherries.
