WINGER Ryan Fraser featured for 68 minutes as a second-half collapse hurt Scotland in Russia.

The Cherries star was replaced by Celtic’s Ryan Christie with the score at 2-0 during the Euro 2020 qualifier at Luzhniki Stadium.

The heavy defeat marked Scotland’s first ever consecutive 4-0 losses, as well as the end of their qualification hopes from Group I.

Steve Clarke’s side can however qualify for the finals via the play-offs, after winning UEFA Nations League Group C1.

Elsewhere, Cherries’ loanee Harry Wilson came off the bench with 24 minutes remaining for Wales against Slovakia, with talisman Gareth Bale and Manchester United starlet Dan James starting on the wing.

An injury-hit Wales side, missing fellow Cherries stars David Brooks and Chris Mepham as well as star turn Aaron Ramsey, took the lead through Keiffer Moore’s header in the first half.

Despite a controlling first period, the Red Dragons could not keep a hold of their lead with Juraj Kucka equalising for the visitors with an exquisite 20-yard volley to seal a 1-1 draw.

Ryan Giggs’s men remained fourth in a tight Group E. Wales are next in action on Sunday when they host World Cup finalists Croatia.

Meanwhile, Gavin Kilkenny made a five-minute cameo for Ireland’s under-21s in their 0-0 draw with Italy.

Nathan Aké was the only full Cherries international to be involved in a winning squad on Thursday but had to make do with watching from the bench.

His Netherlands side rallied late on to overcome Northern Ireland 3-1 in Group C.

Callum Wilson, Aaron Ramsdale, Lloyd Kelly and Sam Surridge all could tonight feature for their respective England teams.

Wilson will be hoping for game time when Gareth Southgate’s senior side visit Czech Republic.

Surridge could make his England under-21 debut should he feature for the Young Lions in a friendly in Slovenia – Ramsdale and Kelly are also in Aidy Boothroyd’s squad.

Cherries young gun Ben Greenwood could tonight play for Ireland under-19s in a friendly against Denmark.

Looking ahead, goalkeeper Mark Travers will hope to add to his one senior cap for Ireland when they face Georgia in a Euro 2020 qualifier on Saturday.

Philip Billing could secure a first senior cap in Denmark’s qualifier against Switzerland.

Joshua King is likely to feature for Norway when they host Spain, while Jefferson Lerma is in the Colombia squad for a friendly against Chile in Alicante.
