TEAM player Joshua King insisted he would “do a job” for Cherries in wide positions if asked.
The Norwegian striker has played on the left wing for Eddie Howe’s men in 3-1 victories over Southampton and Everton during the past two games.
King picked up the man of the match award for his efforts against Saints.
He had a goal disallowed after a VAR check for offside during the first half and could have won a penalty after the break, having been challenged in the box by Cedric.
But despite being more comfortable in a central role, the 27-year-old was willing to fulfil the role asked of him by Eddie Howe.
Speaking on Sky Sports, King said: “Obviously I’m a centre-forward but I’m a team player.
“I grew up at United playing 4-3-3 in the ressies and at Blackburn I played out wide as well.
“Coming here, I have had a few seasons up front and a few seasons at number 10.
“When the manager asks me to play out wide, I do a job, anything for the team – but it is harder.”
On the VAR call to chalk off his first-half effort, King replied: “I had a feeling I was offside, to be honest.
“I thought I was going to get the ball a split second before I did. I think it affected my game a bit towards the end as well. I had never scored a goal and had it been disallowed by VAR.
“But I will learn from that and keep going until the next game.”
