EDDIE Howe revealed that summer signing Arnaut Danjuma is back in training as he continues to recover from a troublesome foot injury.

The winger arrived from Club Brugge for £13.7million in early August but has been absent since picking up a knock on his only outing to date – the 3-0 pre-season win over Lyon.

Boss Howe told the Daily Echo: "Arnaut is in and around the training group. He trained for the first time with us this week, but he's not training regularly.

"It will be one session and then a gap and then he'll train again. We're building up that load with him.

"But he's looked very good in the one training session he had.

"I was really impressed with him so he's probably the closest (to returning).

"With his injury it's about just not pushing too much in one or two days. We've just got to build his load and then he'll be fine."

Howe also confirmed that Junior Stanislas, Adam Smith and David Brooks are all "getting close" to fitness while he will "wait and see" whether to involve Lloyd Kelly against Southampton this evening (8pm).
