AFC BOURNEMOUTH’S beach football event has generated a lot of interest among local youth players and their parents.
The club is running the free event, backed by the Daily Echo and Waitrose, on Wednesday, July 18 (6pm to 9pm) at the beach on Shore Road, Sandbanks.
There are only a limited number of places available, and with more than 30 per cent of capacity already booked, organisers are advising early booking to avoid disappointment.
Head of the Cherries Community Sports Trust Steve Cuss will be running the sessions alongside a host of qualified coaches, with practice and small-sided games planned for youngsters to show off their skills.
Parents, meanwhile, will be able to enjoy the Sandbanks Hotel’s terrace bar and barbecue during the evening.
The event is open to boys and girls aged between seven and 14-years-old. Those wishing to book their spot should email their name, age, address, telephone number, mobile number, email address and any medical information to the club should be aware of to steve.cuss@afcb.co.uk Alternatively, send those details on the back of a postcard to Steve Cluss, Head of Community, AFC Bournemouth, Dean Court, Bournemouth BH7 7AF.
