SKILFUL winger Ryan Wignall has rejoined Belgian League outfit Royal Racing FC Montegnée following a three-month spell in Dorset with Wimborne Town.

Former Liverpool Academy star Wignall joined the Magpies in October and had played his part in their recent revival in Division One South & West of the Southern League.

The 22-year-old Merseysider initially joined Royal Racing FC Montegnée from Cammell Laird in February 2010, penning a full-time contract with the Liege-based club.

Wimborne reached agreement for Wignall to return to Belgium with the Magpies receiving an undisclosed transfer fee and a potential sell on.

Magpies boss Steve Cuss said: “We are sorry to see Ryan go and didn’t want to stand in his way. We wish him all the best for the future.”

Wimborne will meet Wessex Premier neighbours Hamworthy United in a midweek friendly at the County Ground on Tuesday (7.45pm kick-off).
