REMEDY OAK star Georgia Hall claimed third place in the individual competition at the European girls’ team championship at Is Molas in Sardinia.
The 15-year-old carded rounds of 70 and 73 (one-under-par total) as she helped England qualify for the matchplay stage as top seeds.
Hall’s team-mate Emily Taylor (Royal Lytham St Annes) topped the solo charts with an amazing seven-under-par 36-hole total (67, 70).
The best five scores from six counted in the strokeplay phase of the competition.
England finished first on three-over-par, three ahead of Spain, and 13 in front of third-placed France.
The leading eight teams, which also includes Finland, Belgium, Germany, Sweden and Italy, will now compete in the final knockout event.
• Ferndown’s former ladies champion Hayley Davis helped England qualify for the matchplay stage of the European ladies team championship in Murhof, Austria.
The 18-year-old added a 74 to her opening round of 72 as England finished the strokeplay phase in sixth place with a six-over-par team total.
England lock horns with third-placed Spain in today’s first round of the knockout event.
