JOSH Snell was run out off the final ball as Bournemouth came up one run short against Winton at Chapel Gate.
Having restricted Winton to 154 batting first (Ram Bharmidipati 25, George Wright 32, Charlie Dobson 32) thanks to Jake Hurley (3-43) and Rob Smith (2-33), Bournemouth lurched from 25 for no wicket to 26 for three in reply.
But Alex Kennedy (38) and George Russell (35) helped the home side edge closer to their target.
Needing nine off the final over, Bournemouth, bottom of the table, eventually required three from the last ball to seal a dramatic win.
But Snell came up short turning for a second run to tie and was run out by a distance to hand Winton the spoils (Tom Hayes 3-24, Charlie May 3-30).
• Parley held their nerve to seal a narrow four-run win over St Georges.
Parley set the visitors an achievable target by finishing on 160 for seven (Darren Sargent 64, Mitch Baker 31).
But opening bowler Thomas Barber starred with the ball to finish with impressive figures of five for 28 from 12 overs as St Georges fell short with three balls remaining.
James Rapson (2-34) and Neil Summerson (2-46) chipped in with the other wickets.
• Cranborne kept up the pace at the top of the table with a two-wicket win over Swanage.
Ollie Hand played a blinder for the visitors, claiming five for 59 to restrict Swanage to 193 for eight (Ian Booth 66, Ben Baczala 55*) and then smashing 65 to help Cranborne over the line with time to spare (Mark Loader 26, Ian Booth 4-26).
