FORMER Leicestershire 2nds top order batsman Tom Flowers is set to make his Dorset debut against Gloucestershire’s second team at Sherborne School tomorrow (11am).

Flowers, who has also played for Loughborough UCCE, is teaching at Clayesmore School and will probably go in at number three.

Ex-Devon seam bowler Scott Barlow has also signed for the reigning Minor Counties champions, who get their 2011 campaign off to a start with the one-day friendly.

Barlow will also be lining up for Bournemouth in the Southern Electric Premier League this term.

Dorset team manager Sean Walbridge said: “We have the same squad as last season but have added Tom, Scott and Bournemouth’s Mark House.

“Dan Belt and Henry Turner both return after being unavailable last summer.

“Tom Hicks remains as captain, assisted by Chris Park and we have a competitive set of friendlies designed to ensure |we are ready for our opening Minor Counties one-day Competition against Oxfordshire on May 1.”
