MARK Winzar has urged relegation-threatened New Milton to make the most of defeats for their rivals and push towards safety.

Lowly Brockenhurst, Hayling and Fawley, the sides closest to Wessex Premier strugglers Linnets, all suffered losses in midweek.

Two teams are set to face the drop into Wessex One and New Milton have a lead on the three other clubs in the mix, but the trio all have games in hand over the Fawcett’s Field outfit.

Assistant boss Winzar wants his men to boost their chances by claiming a positive result at Fareham tomorrow (3pm).

He said: “It is a big game for us. The results went for us this week. Hayling, Brockenhurst and Fawley all lost and it is up to us to capitalise now.”

New Milton will be hoping to halt a bad run of form, having failed to win in their past six matches.
