EAST Christchurch SSC staged a magnificent second-half recovery to reach the semi-finals of the Hampshire Senior Cup.

Trailing 3-1 to Wheel Wrights after the break, East Christchuch came back to win 4-3 thanks to Alan Etherton, Dave Saunders, Wayne Etherton and a last-minute penalty from Dave Midgley.

Gareth Brickhill’s hat-trick proved decisive when Priory Quays got the better of Thruxton 5-3 in the fourth round of the Hampshire Intermediate Cup with Ollie Peckham and Dan Bartlett adding one each.

Hampshire Junior B Cup holders AFC Ringwood netted through William Lowth (2), Marc Jennings and David Heath but their third round tie with Cove U21 finished 4-4 after extra time and Cove went through 4-3 on penalties.

Victoria Park are through to the quarter-finals though after Lewis Barr (2) and Mikey Kitson gave them a 3-0 fourth round victory over Royale Marine.

Kings Arms Wallisdown are in the quarter-finals of the Hampshire Junior C Cup after slaying Green Dragon 5-3 with a Sacha Navarro hat-trick and further goals from Ashley Welch and Luke McArdle.

Luke Homer (2) and Steve Talliss netted for TX United in the second round of the Mark Hart Senior Cup but West Moors SSC had the edge 4-3 with goals from Kayne Daysh, Mike Haskell, Louis Lenthall and a Steve Liddell penalty. Bournemouth Electric are also through to the third round after Dave Weeden and Stephen Trapp scored two each to subdue Parley Sports 4-2.

Andrew Tubbs and Andrew Loader netted for Cranborne in the fourth round of the M A Hart Robbins Cup and the Division Nine minnows gave Darby’s Corner a run for their money before Dan Pidgley’s hat-trick gave the Division One leaders the edge 3-2.

Shahram Sam-Daliri rattled in five when M A Hart In-Excess Cup holders Queens Park crushed Harbourside 13-0 in the third round. Steve Haime and Tom Gagan both bagged hat-tricks with Jamie Saunders getting the other two.

Gareth Keeping nabbed a hat-trick when GSH beat Sunseekers 6-1 in the third round of the M A Hart Lawrence A Brivati Cup with Darren Ritchie (2) and Scott Metcalf also on target.

Dave Russell weighed in with four in KC Transport’s 6-2 victory over AFC Westvale with Gary Williams getting the other two.

Rockbourne were also 6-2 winners when they felled Holly Tree with a Simon Colborne hat-trick and further goals from Dean Hooper, Robin Tennant and Jim Cheesman.

Talbot Pub needed extra time to polish off New Inn 5-4 with a Jamie Wilson hat-trick and a couple of goals from Dave Mountford. .
