BEN Virabi struck twice to give Portcastrian the verdict 2-1 against Durley in the fourth round of the Hampshire Intermediate Cup but Westover Bournemouth bowed out in the quarter-finals in a 4-0 defeat against QK Southampton.
Richmond Park Con were convincing 7-0 winners against East Boldre in the third round of the Hampshire Junior A Cup with Jamie Dawson, Mark Pudney, and Paul Barber bagging two apiece and Tony West converting a penalty.
FC Athletico were three up after just 20 minutes in their M A Hart Hayward Cup quarter-final thanks thanks to Chris Hardy, Chris Biddle and Alex Davis but it’s Screw-It Carpentry who go through to the semi-finals.
A brilliant fightback was completed by Robert Cole’s four-goal blast and a Tim Somerfield strike to secure them a 5-3 triumph.
Division Four draw specialists New Milton Eagles are also through to the semis after Robbie Haines and Shaun Waterman edged out Walker Scott 2-1.
Also through to the last four are Twynham Rangers reserves who walloped AFC Highcliffe 7-2 with a Sam Nash hat-trick and further goals from Dan Seymour (2) and Aron Harris.
St Marys’ M A Hart Pickford Cup run came to an end in the fourth round when Alderholt ousted them 3-0 with goals from Nathan Welch (2) and Scott Taylor.
