GEORGE Webb made it three goals in two games for Hamworthy United as they battled back twice to salvage a 2-2 home draw against Christchurch.

The former Cherries midfielder, who made two senior appearances for AFC Bournemouth, bagged a brace in the Sydenhams Wessex League clash.

Webb, who has just moved from Poppies to the County Ground, cracked a goal on his United debut in a 3-1 win at Romsey at the weekend.

He fired in another two during the first-half of last night’s Premier Division encounter, each time after Dan Crutchley and Ben Osborne had fired Priory in front.

Hammers boss Simon Browne, whose side moved up to fourth, said: “Dave Ewen created both George’s goals.

“His first was a volley from 10 yards and his second came after Dave put him through and he lobbed Christchurch’s goalkeeper Stewart Kearn.

“George had a better chance in the second-half but missed it, although perhaps I’m being greedy to ask him for three goals on his home debut.

“I’m very pleased to have him and Dave, who has scored seven goals in five games, doing the business for us.”

Priory boss Graham Kemp agreed with Browne that a draw was probably the right outcome.

Kemp said: “We were the better side in the first-half and they had the best of it in the second.”
