BOURNEMOUTH coach David Dunn has warned his title challengers against complacency when they host relegation-threatened Cheltenham tomorrow (3pm).

In-form Lions go into the National Three South West clash on fire after becoming the first side to beat Weston-super-Mare (29-21) and Bridgwater & Albion (21-20) this season.

Both victories were achieved on the road and have propelled ambitious Bournemouth up to sixth in the table, only two points behind second-placed Chinnor.

Cheltenham have struggled, losing all four games, the latest an agonising 24-23 home reverse against Barnstaple.

They’ve also been slaughtered 54-20 at Old Patesians and 40-19 at Redingensians, so will want to sharpen up at Chapel Gate.

Against that backdrop, Dunn said: “We’ve had two fantastic away results. Now we have to guard against any slip-ups on our home ground.

“We said at the beginning of the season the key to a good campaign would be consistently winning at home and picking up what you can get away.

“We’ve had a great start away and now we have to get it right on our home patch.

“I’m sure the self-belief we showed at Bridgwater and Weston will shine through on Saturday and we’re really looking forward to the game. “ Iain Crombie (shoulder), Sam Hardcastle (ankle) and James Flynn (rib) were injured at Bridgwater, and Dunn said: “Iain’s fine, but James will be out for several weeks.

“Sam will have a late fitness test before we decide whether he can play against Cheltenham.

“Tim Collier will definitely be in the squad after his great contribution last week. It’s great being able to rely on his experience in such tough, close games.”
