POOLE defender Simon Browne has been appointed the new manager at Sydenhams Wessex Premier Division rivals Hamworthy United.

Browne is the brother of Wimborne manager Alex and is a former Weymouth and Salisbury City defender. He joined the Dolphins in June 2008.

Hammers welcome Cowes Sports to the County Ground in the Wessex Premier Division tomorrow (3pm).

Hammers: (from) Shergold, Yelland, R Jackson, Horlock, Llewelyn, Cherrett, Crow, Vavrecka, Khider, S Langrish, G Langrish, Cannie, Mutch, Dovell, Dancer, Antribus.

Matt Parnell could be back from injury to bolster high-flying Bashley’s defensive options for their trip to Southern League Premier Division strugglers Tiverton (3pm).

Parnell tweaked knee ligaments during Bash’s FA Cup defeat by Gloucester a fortnight ago and his return would help offset the loss of club captain Paul Gazzard to a one-match ban. Dave Allen (back) is also on the mend and could head to Devon with the Bash squad.

Bashley: (from) Elm, Hill, Ferrett, Middleton, Kelly, Knowles, Castle, Mason, Keeler, Gamble, Knight, Bray, McCarthy, Parnell, Allen, Prodomo.

Striker Tom Jeffes is a doubt ahead of Christchurch’s Hurn+Bridge">Hurn Bridge showdown with Wessex Premier rivals Laverstock & Ford (3pm). Jeffes was yesterday due to have his nose re-set after sustaining a break during their Wessex League Cup clash with Downton 10 days ago. Steve Linpow, Danny Taylor and James Burden are all added to the Priory squad.

Priory: (from) Kearn, Dand, Legg, Crutchley, Costello, Dan Taylor, Smith, Fairbrother, Rideout, Osborne, Jeffes, Lawrence, Woolner, Hatch, Linpow, Danny Taylor, Burden.

Wimborne will be hoping to leapfrog second-placed Bemerton Heath when they face the Harlequins at Western Way (3pm). The Magpies are unchanged following their morale-boosting midweek win over leaders Poole.

Magpies: (from) Hutchings, Wilson, Lockyer, N Walker, M Walker, Whitcher, Green, Stokoe, Joyce, Clarke, McCormick, Wyatt, Moore, A Browne, Haysom, Walker-Harris.

Poole boss Tom Killick must do without the services of influential playmaker Pete Smith for their trip to Newport (3pm).

Smith misses the sojourn to the Isle of Wight due to a wedding, although Stuart Brown returns. Non-contract winger Andre Costa, who turned out for Poole against Wimborne in midweek, has been reclaimed by Dorchester. James Bailey-Pearce could return for the Dolphins. Dolphins: (from) Ackerman, Poore, Preston, Dibba, Lloyd, Richardson, Gill, Hubbard, Cook, T Smith, S Smith, Brown, Bailey-Pearce.

New Milton boss Andy Bye will make a late decision on broken nose victim Marvin Forbes-Broomes before naming his side for their trip to Fareham (3pm). The striker sustained the injury during Linnets’ Hampshire Senior Cup win over Newport in midweek. Mike Mead and Suhael Odeh could both return.

Linnets: (from) Webb, Chengadu, Colman, Byers, Clarke, Quirk, Booker, Kenna, Forbes-Broomes, Lilley, White, Walker, Burt, Quinn, Odeh, Mead.

Fourth-placed Poppies will be hoping to avenge last season’s defeat at Romsey when they head to the picturesque Bypass Ground (3pm). Poppies, unchanged following their midweek win over Hayling United in the Hampshire Senior Cup, lost 3-2 at Romsey in February.

Poppies: (from) Harvell, Arnold, Byrne, Peprah-Annan, Crutcher, Blake, Roberts, Phillipson-Masters, Wilson, Glenister, Wrixton, Aimson, Toy, Chengadu, Bates, Vaughan.
