Christchurch boss Graham Kemp insists he will be going all out to win the Wessex League Cup after admitting the competition represents his team’s best chance of silverware.
Priory look unlikely to feature in the Premier Division title mix after an inconsistent start, while their chances in the FA Vase are probably slim.
Previewing tonight’s Sydenhams Cup first round trip to Downton (7.45pm), Kemp said: “We’re looking to keep our good run going.
“In the Wessex League Cup, on our day we’re as good as anyone in the competition. If we avoid Poole Town, we have got as good a chance as anyone of winning it.”
Kemp has named an unchanged squad following Saturday’s victory at Romsey Town.
Christchurch: (from) Kearn, Costello, Legg, Crutchley, Linpow, Dan Taylor, Smith, Danny Taylor, Osborne, Jeffes, Fairbrother, Woolner, Price, Rideout, Burden, Barnes.
In the Wessex League Premier Division, leaders Poole Town host Lymington Town at Tatnam, while Bournemouth Poppies entertain fellow high-fliers Bemerton Heath Harlequins at Victoria Park (both 7.45pm).
