RINGWOOD hit a lightning four goals in six minutes as they bounced back in style from 3-1 behind to beat Amesbury 5-4 away.

Jy Taylor, Ringwood’s manager, said: “It was a remarkable turnaround because with 30 minutes to go we were dead and buried.

“But at 3-1 I suppose you are always still in with a chance because the next goal is so important.

“I made a substitution and for the first time ever it probably paid off.”

Carl Fleet had already scored for Ringwood before Mark Burrett, Luke Gogan, Min Kim and Dan Baguley, with a penalty, hit the target during their frenzied purple patch.

Ringwood: Rhodes, Sprague, Greaves, Howes, Morrell, Chappels, Hardy (Gogan 60), Burrett, Fleet, Baguley (Macintosh 87), Kim. Unused: Taylor.

  • Adie Arnold accepted responsibility for Verwood’s crushing 5-0 home defeat against Blackfield and Langley.

Verwood’s manager said: “We took a club decision to leave out three players, Luke Homer, Paul Arnold and Dan Goodall, so they could play for our reserves.

“We strengthened our Bournemouth League Premier Division side because they need points to avoid relegation, and it worked because Arnold and Goodall scored as they won 3-0 at Southbourne.
