TOM Hill's first-half goal earned a young Cherries reserves side a fine 1-1 draw at Swansea City last night.
Despite finishing the game with nine first-year trainees on the pitch, the Dorset team proved a match for their experienced Welsh opponents.
Hill fired Cherries in front just before the break, but Swans' Matty Collins levelled after the interval for a side which included a number of professionals such as Fede Bessone, Kristian O'Leary and Owain Tudur-Jones.
Joe Roach, Cherries' head of youth and reserve team boss, said: "Tactically, the lads really took on the information and did very well.
"The whole backline were all first-year trainees. They are inexperienced to a degree and they did very well on the night.
"We changed shape a couple of times in the game, but that didn't really effect us."
Cherries reserves: Pryce, Annetts, Holmes, Oldring, Stephenson, Magookin, Davidson (Burbidge, 90), Webb, Hutchings (Kemble, 90), Hill, Preston (Ings, 78).
