LUKE Webb is hoping to keep his Dorset Cricket side's momentum going as they face Wiltshire in the NCCA Cluberly Championship on Sunday.

Dorset have been in sensational form this season across in all formats of the game.

Having already claimed the NCCA one-day trophy, Webb's side defeated Berkshire and Suffolk last weekend to progress from the T20 Super 12s to reach the finals day.

The Dorset skipper was 'absolutely delighted' with his team's victory last time out.

Speaking to the Echo, he said: "We put in two really dominant performances and it has earnt us the opportunity to go to the finals day at Wormsley, which will be a privilege to play at, and give us the opportunity to win another trophy."

Webb will have to park any thoughts of more silverware at this stage though with the T20 finals still several weeks away.

His side are back in action in the longer format of the game this weekend as they travel up to Wiltshire.

Victory over Shropshire came at a canter last time out in the three-day championship as Webb's side cruised to a two day victory.

Slow left-arm spinner Mo Abbas was in particularly fine form in that match as he posted a career best 9-50 over both innings.

Webb is now hoping his side can take the good run of form they have been on into Sunday's game at Corsham.

He said: "Looking ahead to the three-day game at Wiltshire, it's another opportunity to continue the momentum we have had throughout this season.

Red ball cricket poses different challenges to white ball cricket but my group love playing it.

"We started really well with the two-day win over Shropshire but we know Wiltshire will pose us with new challenges which we will have to problem solve and overcome.

"But we are really looking forward to getting back out there and hopefully put in a dominant performance."

Webb has made two changes to the side that ran out winners over Berkshire and Suffolk in the T20 last weekend.
