CHERRIES' luckless new signing Alan Connell was last night waiting to discover the full extent of a knee injury.
Connell damaged his left knee just minutes into his first training session with the club at the end of last week.
The striker, who completed his move from Brentford on Friday, sustained suspected cartilage damage when he jarred his studs in the turf.
He had a scan on Tuesday and was due to receive the results during a consultation with a specialist at the Bournemouth Nuffield Hospital last night.
Connell is likely to be sidelined for at least three weeks, although it could be longer should he require surgery.
Meanwhile, defender Ryan Garry is due to have an ultrasound scan on his troublesome left groin later this week.
Garry was ruled out of Cherries' Johnstone's Paint Trophy tie against Bristol Rovers in midweek after aggravating the injury at Port Vale.
He may require a steroid injection to reduce the inflammation but could be back in training either by the end of this week or the start of next.
Loan striker Craig Lindfield looks set to be ruled out for around a fortnight after suffering a hamstring injury in training on Monday.
The 19-year-old, who is on loan from Liverpool, felt discomfort in the muscle as he pushed off during a sprinting exercise.
Fellow hamstring injury victim Scott Guyett is expected to return to training on Monday, while Jeff Goulding, who was substituted as a precautionary measure after feeling his hamstring against Bristol Rovers, should train today.
