A NEW date has been set for Poole Pirates’ trip to Plymouth Gladiators in the BSN Series after Saturday’s postponement.
Pirates had been set for the return fixture of a double-header against Gladiators, defeating the Devon side 58-32 at Wimborne Road on Friday night before preparing to travel to Plymouth on Saturday evening.
However, an early decision was taken for the meeting to be postponed, with heavy rain forecasted at Plymouth’s Coliseum base.
Poole will now travel westwards on Saturday, June 1, with tapes up at 7pm.
Pirates know that an aggregate win over the Gladiators will secure safe passage from the Southern section of the BSN group stages.
Last season Pirates lifted the trophy in the augural series of the BSN.
Neil Middleditch’s men currently sit a top of their group by a point, with Oxford Cheetahs placed behind them in second.
